Common questions about Violet Storm.
What does it actually do?
It dissolves embedded ferrous particles (brake dust, rail dust, fallout) that have bonded with the clear coat. The violet colour is the chemistry actively breaking them down.
Will it stain my wheels?
No — Violet Storm is clear in the bottle and only turns violet when reacting with iron. It rinses off cleanly.
How often should I decon?
Twice a year is plenty on a regularly washed and protected car. Always decon before applying ceramic coatings or sealants.
Do I still need to clay?
For most cars, no — chemical decon is enough. For very contaminated paint, clay-bar after decon to remove the last 2%.
Can I use it as a wheel cleaner?
Absolutely — it doubles as a powerful pH-neutral wheel cleaner with a visible reaction.
