How long does Quartz last on the paint?
8+ months from a single application on a properly prepped surface. Top-ups with Gloss Armour extend that further.
Is this a real ceramic coating?
It’s a true SiO₂-infused wax that hardens into a glass-like barrier on the paint. It’s not a 5-year pro-grade coating, but it’s significantly more durable than a traditional carnauba wax.
Can I apply over an existing wax or sealant?
Yes, but for best durability we recommend stripping old protection first with a panel wipe or Awaken polish, then applying Quartz on a fresh surface.
How often should I use Gloss Armour?
After every wash, or every 2–4 weeks. It restores the gloss, removes water spots, and reinforces the SiO₂ layer between full Quartz applications.
What if I run out of Gloss Armour first?
Gloss Armour is sold separately as a 500ml refill. The Ceramic City kit also pairs it with our Hydro-Barrier rinse aid for full ongoing maintenance.
